Carlisle Dockery
Board Member
Carlisle Dockery (she/her) is the Director of Planning & Community Engagement at Circulate San Diego (Circulate). Circulate's mission is to create excellent mobility choices and vibrant, healthy neighborhoods, and it seeks to achieve that mission by promoting public transportation, safe streets, and sustainable growth.
Carlisle has worked in the nonprofit sector for seven years and joined Circulate in October 2021. Her work experience spans active transportation planning, community engagement, public health advocacy, project management, and economic development. She has worked on projects addressing pedestrian and bicycle safety education, tactical urbanism, complete streets, transit ridership, age-friendly development, disaster recovery, and economic revitalization. Since joining Circulate, Carlisle has contributed to numerous plans and projects, including the City of Cathedral City Active Transportation Plan, the City of Solana Beach Safe Routes to School Master Plan, and the North County Transit District Ridership Study. Carlisle also has extensive experience developing data visualizations using mapping tools to display community assets, service and infrastructure gaps, walk audit findings, and engagement metrics. She is a League Cycling Instructor and is qualified to lead bike rodeos, electric bike rodeos, and electric scooter rodeos.
Carlisle graduated from Northeastern University with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree and holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Davidson College. During her spare time, she can be found playing soccer, surfing, doing crossword puzzles, grocery shopping, taking the bus everywhere it goes, and talking to anyone who will listen about the need for WNBA expansion teams.
