Jae Hendrix is a nonprofit communications professional specializing in leadership development, organizational strategy, and culture. They serve as the Communications Director for YIMBY Action and YIMBY Law, two organizations dedicated to alleviating the housing shortage and fostering affordable, equitable, and sustainable communities across the United States. Since joining YIMBY in 2020, Jae has led significant organizational growth, increasing the community's audience by tens of thousands of members.

Before their current role, Jae worked as a consultant and freelancer, offering advisory services and direct support to universities, nonprofits, and small businesses. They collaborated with clients to transform company culture, enhance operational efficiency, and boost sales and donations.

Jae earned a degree in Communications from California State University, Fullerton, and resides in Los Angeles County with their wife, child, and pets. In their free time, they enjoy hiking, cooking, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends. Jae is a strong advocate for communities designed to enhance connection, ensure access to resources, and facilitate safe movement for pedestrians both on foot and on wheels.
